Astroyogi’s revenue increased to Rs 85.35 crore in FY24, up from Rs 68.95 crore in FY23, showcasing robust growth driven by its app-based astrology consultancy services. The spiritual tech platform offers features such as daily horoscopes, tarot readings, Vastu, Kundli, and numerology. Despite this growth, the company reported a slight net loss of Rs 3.5 lakh in FY24, compared to a profit of Rs 1.71 crore in FY23, due to rising operational costs.
Over 98% of its revenue in FY24 was derived from its operations. The operating revenue comprises revenue from the sale of services in the Indian market, which accounts for over 71% of the total, revenue from the sale of services in the overseas market (exports), contributing over 27%, and revenue from the sale of products in both Indian and overseas markets, which makes up over 1.5% of the operating revenue.
Founded in 2001 by Mrs. Meena Kapoor, Astroyogi pioneered India’s first online astrology app in 2016, which focuses on providing personalized astrotech solutions with an emphasis on privacy and exceptional service quality. The platform allows users to consult experts in various domains like career, love, finance, and marriage.
Astroyogi’s expenses rose by 27.5% in FY24, reaching Rs 85.34 crore, compared to Rs 66.88 crore in FY23. Advertisement costs remained the largest expense, increasing from 26.82% of total expenses in FY23 to 28.15% in FY24, reflecting the company’s aggressive marketing strategies. Employee benefit costs also rose slightly from 14.41% in FY23 to 14.61% in FY24, while finance and depreciation costs showed marginal changes.
Despite its revenue growth, Astroyogi saw a decline in profitability. The EBITDA margin dropped from 3.59% in FY23 to 0.76% in FY24, and the ROCE declined significantly from 18.50% in FY23 to 3.19% in FY24, signaling challenges in maintaining operational efficiency.
Mrs. Meena Kapoor, who holds a 39.02% stake in the company, continues to lead Astroyogi as its Founder and CEO. Headquartered in Gurugram, the company remains a key player in India’s burgeoning spiritual tech sector, with a focus on innovation and customer-centric solutions.
