Bebe Burp: Revenue Jumps 2.3x to Rs 6.24 Crore in FY24

Bebe Burp posted a revenue growth of over 2.3x, reaching Rs 6.24 crore in FY24 compared to Rs 2.67 crore in FY23. The company has raised a total of Rs 11.57 crore in funding over five rounds, with the latest pre-Series A round secured on August 2, 2024.

As an organic baby food brand, Bebe Burp specializes in preservative-free, sustainably sourced products like millet porridge, rice porridge, wheat cookies, and ragi cookies, ensuring optimal nutrition for infants.

Expenses increased by over 2.4x, rising to Rs 7.7 crore in FY24 from Rs 3.19 crore in FY23. Advertisement costs remained the largest component, accounting for 37.66% of total expenses in FY24, though lower than 48.27% in FY23. Employee benefit costs declined to 10.12% from 16.61% in FY23, while material costs increased to 22.98% from 16.61% in the previous year. Depreciation and finance costs remained negligible at 0.51% and 0.37% of total expenses, respectively.

Net losses expanded 2.8x to Rs 1.46 crore in FY24 from Rs 51.94 lakh in FY23, reflecting higher operating expenses. The EBITDA margin declined to -22.29% in FY24 from -17.97% in the previous year, while ROCE deteriorated sharply to -73.39% from -23.70% in FY23.

Bebe Burp was founded in 2018 by Shruti Tibrewal, Chirag Gupta, and Bharat Tibrewal, who each hold a 20.94% stake. An additional 4.60% is allocated under the ESOP pool.
