Bepure Reports 28% Revenue Growth in FY24 Amid Rising Expenses

Founded in 2016, Mumbai-based Bepure is a direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand revolutionizing water treatment and applications for internal and external use. Its product range includes alkaline water purifiers, alkaline water bottles for health benefits like acid reflux remedies, whole-house filtration systems, shower water filters, and water softeners, all accessible online with flexible payment options.

Bepure reported revenue growth of 28.2% in FY24, reaching Rs 5.54 crore compared to Rs 4.32 crore in FY23. However, net losses widened to Rs 37.28 lakh in FY24, up from Rs 17.21 lakh in FY23. The EBITDA margin declined to -4.84% in FY24 from -1.51% in FY23, while the ROCE fell sharply from 34.86% to -40.32%.

The company’s expenses increased by 31.6% to Rs 5.91 crore in FY24, up from Rs 4.49 crore in FY23. Employee benefit costs rose slightly to 9.19% of total expenses in FY24 from 9.06% in FY23. Depreciation accounted for 0.096% of total expenses in FY24, up from 0.079% in FY23, while finance costs decreased to 1.71% from 2.28%. Cost of materials constituted 53.18% of total expenses in FY24, down from 59.41% in FY23.

Bepure has raised Rs 1.25 crore in funding through one round, with the latest investment secured in September 2023. Co-founders Sneha Patil and Ninad Sankhe collectively hold 85% of the company, while 100X.VC owns the remaining 15% equity.
