DPDzero Doubles Revenue to Rs 8.3 Cr in FY24

Bengaluru-based DPDzero doubled its revenue in FY24, reaching Rs 8.3 crore, up from Rs 4 crore in FY23.

DPDzero is a fintech company focused on automating collections for lenders through an AI-driven platform. The company enables lenders to analyze borrower repayment behavior, segment borrowers based on risk, and engage with them across multiple channels to improve recovery outcomes. Its offerings include AI-powered collection allocation, third-party payment integration, voice assistance, payment rewards, and APIs for seamless portfolio management.

Founded in 2022, DPDzero was co-founded by Ananth Shroff and Ranjith B.R. The company has raised a total of Rs 31.02 crore in funding over two rounds, with its most recent seed round completed in October 2023.

Expenses rose significantly to Rs 8.4 crore in FY24 from Rs 3.6 crore in FY23. Employee benefit costs dropped to 7.5% of total expenses in FY24, down from 47.2% in FY23. Depreciation stood at 0.23% of total expenses in FY24, compared to 0.84% in FY23.

The company slipped into a marginal loss of Rs 8.2 lakh in FY24, after posting a profit of Rs 28.66 lakh in FY23. EBITDA margin declined to -0.77% in FY24 from 10.66% in FY23. ROCE also dropped from 161.99% in FY23 to -55.55% in FY24, reflecting lower capital productivity during the year of expansion.
