FlicksTree registered 2.7X jump in scale in FY23, losses shrink

In line with the past few years of continuous growth, FlicksTree’s revenue jumped 2.7X in the last fiscal year to Rs 46.85 crore. Operations contributed over 98% to the total revenue generated the same year.

Previously in FY22, the company had registered a revenue of Rs 17.3 crore with operations contributing over 98% of it.

Founded by Saurabh Singh and Rahul Jain, Flicktree is a Mumbai headquartered adtech company that creates content for video commerce and drives tractions for clients. It mainly uses AI in voiceovers and script to auto-generate branded video content. Claiming to cater to more than 200 brands, it has an active user base of 25 million on its platform.

The eight-year-old company’s expenses widened 2.1X from Fy22’s Rs 24.2 crore to Rs 50.11 crore in FY23. Of this a majority, over 77%, was contributed by cost of materials, employee benefit costs contributed over 11%, and close to 2% was taken by finance costs.

Its losses shrunk 52% to Rs 3.3 crore in the fiscal year ending March 2023 from its preceding fiscal’s Rs 6.9 crore. Its EBITDA margin and ROCE improved to -4.77% and -16.01% respectively the same year.

Flicktree raised over Rs 40 crore in late 2022 in its Pre-Series B round from the likes of Venture Catalysts, Samsung Venture Investment, LionRock Capital, and LetsVenture among others. Overall, it has raised a total of more than Rs 65 crore since inception.
