Koparo Clean Doubles Revenue to Rs 10.77 crore in FY24 with Improved EBITDA Margin

Founded in 2020, Delhi-based Koparo Clean is transforming home care with its toxin-free, plant-based products. The company offers a natural alternative to traditional cleaning products, ensuring safety for kids, pets, and the planet. With over 15 products and 30 SKUs, Koparo’s portfolio spans core cleaning, specialty cleaning, and accessories, delivering long-lasting fragrance and natural germ protection. Its products are available online, on leading e-commerce platforms, and at 70 retail stores including Reliance Retail and Modern Bazaar.

Koparo Clean’s revenue surged by 2.4x in FY24, reaching Rs 10.77 crore, a significant rise from Rs 4.45 crore in FY23. Despite this growth, the company reported a net loss of Rs 5.86 crore in FY24, widening from a Rs 3.42 crore loss in FY23. The EBITDA margin improved to -54.28% in FY24, up from -76.48% in FY23, while the ROCE declined to -43.72% from -32.57%.

Expenses increased by 2.1x, climbing to Rs 16.63 crore in FY24 from Rs 7.87 crore in FY23. Advertisement costs surged to 32.23% of total expenses in FY24, Employee benefit costs dropped to 8.29% of expenses in FY24 from 12.96% in FY23, while the cost of materials rose to 26.39% from 21.98%. Depreciation remained minimal at 0.06% in FY24.

Koparo Clean has raised a total of Rs 23.86 crore across five funding rounds, with the latest pre-Series A round closing in June 2024. The company’s shareholding is led by co-founder Simran Khara (38.25%), with M Venture Partners (4.88%), Kunal Bahl (1.68%), and an ESOP pool (4.55%) also on board.
