SaaS firm Blod.in’s revenue touches Rs 4.9 lakhs in FY23

Healthcare company Blod.in generated a revenue of Rs 4.9 lakhs in the financial year ending March 2023 of which the entirety of the amount was contributed by operations.

The Chennai-based Varun S founded startup is a software as a service platform, catering to your hematology needs from supply chain and logistics to inventory management.

It is a mobile-based application to find blood donors. The platform connects blood donors with people who need blood to create a centralized blood management system. The platform allows people to find blood donors in their area and to schedule blood donations.

Its overall expenses amounted to Rs 32.8 lakhs the same year with employee benefits taking over 76%. While travelling costs too up close to 2%, promotional costs including advertising costs over 1% of the year’s total expenses.

The three-year-old company raised an undisclosed amount in its pre-seed round from STHIRA IT SOLUTIONS and Shyam Siddarth in late 2022.

Post the round, Natarajan Adithya Vikram and Varun Srekumar Nair held an equal amount of shares each.

Its generated losses amounting to Rs 27.9 lakhs with its current EBITDA standing at -567.07% and ROCE at -163.51%.
