Feminine hygiene brand Sanfe witnessed an 85% rise in its scale to Rs 47.3 crore in FY23 as compared to the Rs 25.5 crore it generated the previous fiscal year.
Based out of Delhi, Sanfe is a women’s grooming and period care brand that develops products are comfortable, rash-free, natural & organic, safe for the body and the environment. Its product line spans across areas such as body grooming and body care products. The products are available online as well as in retail stores.
Established by Archit Agarwal and Harry Sehrawat, it has raised over Rs 30 crore through 5 fundraises. It last raised Rs 12.26 crore in late 2022 from S. Chand Family office, Seeders, Lets Venture, Mintosh, Hauz Khas Ventures and others. It is currently valued at Rs 139.4 crore.
The six-year-old company’s expenses rose 86% to Rs 56.6 crore in the fiscal year ending March 2023. The same year while advertisements cost over Rs 19 crore, over Rs 4 crore and over Rs 1 crore was spent on employee benefits and legal charges.
The preceding fiscal year Sanfe’s expenditure amounted to Rs 30.37 crore with advertisement and promotion being the largest contributor.
It’s overall losses increased two fold to Rs 9.64 crore from FY22’s Rs 4.8 crore. Its EBITDA margin stood at -18.64% and ROCE was -79.96%.
